The following renowned researchers in the fields of physical education and music education in early childhood will participate in the conference.

Tanja Linnavalli, PhD.
Tanja Linnavalli is a cognitive scientist (PhD) and a music pedagogue who works as a researcher in Finnish Research Council’s Centre of Excellence in Music, Mind, Body and Brain and as a university lecturer in the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Helsinki. Linnavalli has been studying the impact of music-, reading- and movement-based interventions on children’s cognitive and social-emotional development.

Alfredo Bautista PhD.
Full Professor (tenured) & Associate Head of the Department of Early Childhood Education at The Education University of Hong Kong. My research focuses on curriculum, pedagogy, and teacher professional development. Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for the Study of Education and Development (formerly Infancia y Aprendizaje).

Arja Sääkslahti, PhD.
Professor in Sport Pedagogy in University of Jyväskylä, Finland. She has led AIESEP’s Early Years Special Interest Group between 2016-2024 with the mission of increasing research-based knowledge about the importance of physical activity, motor skills and physical education to young children’s holistic development and overall well-being. She completed her master’s degree in sport sciences at the University of Jyväskylä (JYU) and worked for six years as a physical education teacher before finishing her PhD studies and earning her PhD thesis 2005. Currently, she leads the PE teacher education discipline at JYU.

José Luis Aróstegui, PhD.
José Luis Aróstegui Plaza es catedrático en didáctica de la expresión musical en la Universidad de Granada. Ha dirigido varios proyectos de investigación sobre desarrollo del currículo, formación del profesorado, y políticas curriculares de reforma, derivándose la mayor parte de su producción científica de los mismos. En la actualidad es el IP1 del proyecto I+D PID2021-128645OB-I00 sobre Transversalidad, Creatividad e Inclusión en Proyectos Musicales Escolares: Una Investigación Evaluativa (TCIEM), financiado por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (2022-2025).

Diana Schaack, PhD.
Associate Professor, Early Childhood Education. Diana Schaack's research focuses on the effectiveness of policy efforts to ensure that early childhood professionals can enjoy a long and fulfilling career in a field in which they are justly compensated, that expand access to early childhood teacher preparation programs that are responsive to the needs of the workforce, and that expand access to high-quality early care and education for children who have historically been under-served.

Xavier García Massó, PhD.
Xavier García Massó is a Full Professor (Catedrático de Universidad) at the Faculty of Teacher Training, Universitat de València, since October 2023. He holds a PhD in Physical Education and Sport (2012) and complementary qualifications in Physiotherapy and Biomedical Engineering. Specializing in movement and exercise biomechanics with over 15 years of research trajectory, Dr. García Massó focuses on postural control, motor learning, dual-task interference, physical activity assessment, and gamification in educational contexts. He has supervised twelve doctoral theses and authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, with funding from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, public administrations, and private foundations.

Isaac Estevan-Torres, PhD.
Isaac Estevan es profesor titular del Departamento de Didáctica de Educación Física, Artística y Música de la Facultad de Formación del Profesorado, Universidad de Valencia, Universidad de Valencia. Es codirector de los grupos de innovación docente AFIPS (Actividad Física y Promoción de la Salud) y EFYPS ( Educación Física y Promoción de la Salud). Como miembro del Consorcio Internacional de Investigación sobre el Desarrollo Motor (IMDRC), su principal interés investigador se centra en fomentar la alfabetización y competencia motriz de alumnado de Educación Infantil, Primaria y Secundaria.
